Treasurer's Report

All alumnae in the Greater New Orleans area are eligible to join the association and we count on your dues to support activities and initiatives.

Annual membership dues are $55 per year and are due now! We collect dues on an ongoing basis so it is never too late to pay; but we appreciate members supporting our planning for the year by paying before the school year starts. Our operating expenses are kept low by board volunteers and generous hostesses.

Your $55 will go to the following: $22 to Kappa Headquarters, $12 for hosting social events, $11 to support our favorite philanthropies, and the remaining $10 to facilitate association communication, support the local Tulane chapter of Beta Omicron and Panhellinic, and send attendees to convention and province meetings.

We encourage you to renew your membership annually and become more involved in your association. Additionally, consider making a donation to the association to ensure its continued success.

What is dues direct?

Dues Direct is for Kappas who wish to remain in good standing but move around frequently and/ or live in an area not served by an alumnae association or where an association has gone inactive for lack of members or participation.

Understandably, many NOLA and Northshore Kappas went Dues Direct after Katrina — however, this means our local association does not receive your support! When Kappas pay dues via the local association, the association gets credit for having a certain number of members AND funds to cover the costs associated with hostessing such fun events!

If you are paying via Dues Direct, please consider supporting your local NOLA Kappa Alumnae Association upon renewal. If you are a previous Dues Direct payer and wish to participate in our local events, please contribute the dues balance to the NOLA Kappas ($33). Questions? Please contact us — we are happy to help!
